Hi, thanks for the reply! I can now start the masternode successfully but when search for active with darkcoind masternode list | grep <ip> it returns nothing. However, I find my masternode is active according to https://drk.mn/masternodes.html

Getting this error after I upgraded masternode and PC client to 0.11.0.14. Worked perfectly on previous versions, not sure if I've done something wrong. Can anyone offer some advice?

Oh ok, that would explain why it wouldn't work. I was issuing the command without the "./", just "darkcoind".

OK I figured it out. In the "Masternode guide for complete noobs", after the "wget" and "tar xfvz darkcoin" steps, another step is found that is not in other guides (as far as I can tell). He does "cp darkcoin-0.10.1x.xx-linux/bin/64/darkcoind darkcoind" which I gather is some sort of symbolic...

Greetings, I am having issues updating my masternode. I downloaded 0.10.15.13 but when I run darkcoind it says "Error: cannot obtain lock on data directory /home/ubuntu/.darkcoin. Darkcoin is probably already running." But if I use darkcoind stop, it says "error, couldn't connect to server"...

I have made a grave error. Got the MN set up on a EC2 Server. Then used Virtualbox to install ubuntu for cold wallet host. Installed darkcoin but noticed it was version 91001, so backed up wallet to Documents, and removed the directories. Downloaded new version and wanted to restore backup...

OK, got 64 bit Ubuntu on VM after enabling VT-x. Now I am stuck again. for some reason, darkcoind / darkcoin getinfo only runs after i sudo su - . . . But that gave version as 91001, blocks were correct. Then I exit su, cd ~/.darkcoin/ , and wget http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/rc/darkcoind...

OK right, should have known. So am I right in thinking that I must follow steps 2 - 10 to install darkcoin onto local machine (if I can make a 64 bit VM)?
