you dont need an external ip, you can run the client through tor with a random ip address identity of your tor proxy. what you linked is running a darkcoin server with .onion land address exposed. that's not required for using the client.

maybe flare (electrum.darkcoin.qa) or DCT (electrum.darkcointalk.org) could contribute a running electrum server too? I could add them to the PR. ELM4ever is FQDN required? edit, or coingun is could run one too? :-)

Tried the nodes in the OP, but they do not work, tungfa - I guess this needs some more work. And I think Masternodes are communicating via ipv4 only, so I guess this is not possible yet. But worth a try.

but if you have a cold/remote setup, the masternode does not know the privkey of the vin. Else there would be no point of running a remote setup. maybe eduffield could comment on this too. multisig is the future, we should consider it.
