    Question about masternode IP changes

Hi all, My masternode has been up and running fine for a while, but recently my ip address changed and now the node no longer shows up on dashninja.pl. The old ip is still there, however, with "port closed". How long does this take to update? and is there a command to update it by force? since...

    Private Encrypted Email

PGP is of course the best solution, but since not everyone is computer literate enough to adopt it for every day use I find tutanota the next best thing. I was using protonmail almost since launch but ditched it around the time there were (and still are) concerns about the IDF connection.

Masternode shutting down after a day

My masternode keeps shutting down after about a day. It seems to be looking to update the wallet.dat, but since there is no wallet.dat on the server it shuts down. Here is the log: 2014-11-27 01:55:36 Committing 1233 changed transactions to coin database... 2014-11-27 01:55:36 *** System...

Updated masternodes, now don't seem to show up on Drk. Mn

I'll try deleting the peers.dat file. It's just strange it showed up on drk.mn for so long. I've been using this set up from the start. I guess I'll look into the local remote setup since I don't feel comfortable leaving wallet file on remote box.

Updated masternodes, now don't seem to show up on Drk. Mn

I hadn't touched it for ages so it was a few versions out of date. I just did what I normally do: - Downloaded the new tar.gz. - Stopped darkcoind. - Extracted new version and replaced old darkcoind. - Put wallet file on server. - Started darkcoind and waited for it to catch up block...

Updated masternodes, now don't seem to show up on Drk. Mn

Same here. Didn't realise it was a known issue since there are lots of nodes running the latest version which are not disappearing. I reinstalled today and the node showed up for like half a day then disappeared again.

    Ideas to develop Darkcoin.co.uk please?

drkco.in is currently on freedns.afraid.org (for people who can live without the 'a').

Amazon S3 encrypts your objects with the custom encryption keys that you provide.

I think this is more for storage, as opposed to EC2 instances. I prefer it to stuff like dropbox, gdrive, etc. when storing large amounts of goat porn data.

RC3: Hard Fork on June 20th!

If you can run a hot wallet then do it but after it's running just delete the wallet file (stop darkcoind, delete wallet, start darkcoind - as chaeplin helped me with earlier in the thread). Obviously have a backup of the wallet first. Version should be 10.10.1

RC3: Hard Fork on June 20th!

I meant on remote machine (since now wallet is not needed on node itself).

RC3: Hard Fork on June 20th!

Nooby question, but now that my node is running is it ok to delete the wallet file? (I have a backup).

Sorry I don't know why some of your nodes aren't working, but can you confirm you have 2 working nodes which were started with the "same" wallet?

I want to speak with the people who pumped DRK up in price.

Might be one of the exchanges, but I don't think there's any way to tell.

    DRK/USD?

I am currently making a site which will accept DRK only, but I don't want to link the price to USD. For example most sites give a price in USD and then the crypto amount will vary depending on how much each cryptocoin is worth in USD. In shops, if the value of an item suddenly drops they just...

I want to speak with the people who pumped DRK up in price.

It wasn't a pump. I think most people were expecting the price to go up as things such as the darksend beta and the masternode launch were released. If these things had failed then obviously the price would have gone down. It is built on features, not hype.
