Pre-Proposal: Add Dash to the SullyNode platform

Hey @CLSullivan , Welcome on the forum and thanks for the post. It is great that you are building new services. i admire your enthusiasm and appreciate honest and open description. I will also offer my honest feedback in return. I voted “No” in this pool for the following reason: This means...

I think Dash needs some changes

@GrandMasterDash Apart from Sam, can you see that it is you, who wants to be a dictator and have the project and network going your way?

Two, or possibly three Trust Protectors will be doing an AMA with Joel this Friday Afternoon. Post your questions here!

Do you work with DCG management on changes and improvements in the delivery process (because of the very low predictability and reliability of the current setup)? If yes, what are the changes you propose and work on? If not, are you planning to do that (and possibly when)?

    Pre-Proposal: Maximum Ask Per Proposal

This doesn’t make sense. Open market doesn’t require such a strange rules and limitations. This is very artificial “regulation” of an innovative system.

The wonderful world of dash mixing - 92 inputs!

@GrandMasterDash What does Ryan has to do with the mixing algorithm inconvenience you have experienced and described here? When did Ryan hide anything about Chainalysis? You are randomly putting a blame on him to vent out your frustration.

Core 18.2.0 withdrawn! Cannot sync past block 1800330 on mainnet

Actually, they both had bugs and BTC even experienced one outage in the past. There is no perfect code. That being said, QA should be stellar - I agree with you on that.

    DCG Bonds

Interesting concept. I need to think about that more. Just a side note about that fragment: This isn't true. Many people were laid off from DCG during the latest bear market. But, in my opinion, it doesn’t mean changes aren’t necessary. The current team is not extremely reliable, especially...

Core 18.2.0 withdrawn! Cannot sync past block 1800330 on mainnet

Hi @xkcd. There is no perfect code nor perfect software on this world. I rather see it a novel, and therefore complicated, tech. Cryptography isn’t simple, p2p isn’t simple, blockchain concepts aren’t simple, tools for payments and accounting aren’t simple, building development platform backend...

I think Dash needs some changes

So… Another year passed by and platform is still “almost done”. :( Dash needs more than some changes. Dash needs many fundamental changes.

Pre-Proposal: Project updates via proposal system

If changes are to be made, I would add the following to the proposal: 1. For projects - define milestones - add due dates to the milestones 2. For services - define KPIs (and report them)

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

I am not sure why are you writting such crap then. This doesn’t do anything positive but pushes people away instead.

Thanks @GrandMasterDash for the explanation. I get the idea now. Will return to the discussion in a few days. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Pre-Proposal: Project updates via proposal system

What is voting abuse (I might've not enough background to get the idea)? Is this not too far? To me it looks rather like a chance given for trolls and maniacs to chase after the other individuals and publicly "shame" them if someone dares to vote different way than expected.

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

Why scary @vampyren? Use case for software development platform is to create software on top of it. Created software can have almost unlimited number of use cases. It depends on the business needs of the developers.

Pre-Proposal: Project updates via proposal system

I like the idea overall. Probably needs to be worked in some more details. How is actually in your mind Guys, mnowatch a great tool? From my perspective it seems more like spying/surveillance tool that scares potential MNOs rather than anything else.

Should Platform run on all nodes or should Platform run only on High Performance nodes ?

And you are right. This is not a product for the friends and family. This product is targeted for quite specifically experienced developers and engineers. So, unless your relatives and friends are hardcore-blockchain devs, there is no need to mention about the platform.
