dashman - linux masternode mangement made mootastic

Glad to hear it! I just had to peek at the code to remember the dash.conf processing. It was luck tonight. I went to vote with dashman and saw the failure. But, you can count on me fixing things quickly once I'm aware of them. I know a lot of people rely on dashman. :) Over the next year...

dashman - linux masternode mangement made mootastic

You need to add: masternodeaddr=ip.address.of.masternode:9999 to vote with dash.conf. But I recommend you upgrade to using masternode.conf. No. Any sync'd dashd (dash-cli) will do. It doesn't need any funds. It just needs the masternode information in dash.conf or masternode.conf.

    Proposal: Infrastructure - Basic Needs

Oh, I don't feel I need to defend. I just want to keep things transparent. Somebody might have good input I haven't considered.

    Proposal: Infrastructure - Basic Needs

Well, I'm willing to consider other options, but the "good enough" comparison you're making isn't an equivalent comparison. Speed is the goal. There is no way we can rent a server with the specifications I'm looking for. I'm still rearranging items to fit under budget (would rather have $6000...

    Proposal: Infrastructure - Basic Needs

Agreed, but I want to start small. All of the server roles have second-tier personal backups. Server downtime will only prevent docker instance upgrades and the to-be-built testnet deployment harnessing. Annoying in the middle of a testnet deploy and test iteration, but not critical. Compiles...

    Proposal: Infrastructure - Basic Needs

It is important the server is accessible when physical maintenance is needed. The bandwidth is not as critical as you think, as distributing binaries to the public is not its role. That's what cloud instances are for. AMD was chosen just because of the Intel premium you mention. Optimal...

    Proposal: Infrastructure - Basic Needs

We haven't decided yet, but either I or @flare will be performing the build and co-locating the server near whomever builds it. Thank you for saying that, I appreciate it! That is the goal in mind. I've scratched out plans for our billion-cap dream infrastructure, but would like a single...

dashman - linux masternode mangement made mootastic

Today, a masternode needs about 256M RAM and about 2G disk (not accounting for log file) 10G is safer. A medium speed cpu is fine, anything less than a minimum-level VPS isn't recommended. As Evolution progresses, instances will be required to have more resources. Multiple instances per host...

dashman - linux masternode mangement made mootastic

Not offhand. I'd be willing to take a look and see if you like. PM me. Or, since it's a new install with no funds or anything, just delete everything rm -rf ~/.dash and try installing again.

I don't know what you're talking about yet. Can you explain what you're doing?

    New forum bugs

Sorry, I just noticed what you're talking about. I was looking at the screenshot, assuming it was current. You're right, disagree should be neutral. And it is now. I wasn't understanding you. But you weren't hearing me. By notifying the plugin author, everybody gets the benefit of the fix...

    New forum bugs

You still haven't contacted the plugin author on the plugin forum to make your case for the nnn/n upgrade. If you want to see any updates to this plugin, you have to go through them. Don't complain about something you can do something about. As far as the rating valuations, those are exactly...

    New forum bugs

I'll write up the text later tonight. I'll need a Russian translation (I'm volunteering you) and Spanish and simplified Chinese -- and later, any more languages we decide to add to the forum. What was that translation site we were using a while back? I might want to set up an account to keep...

They're green for a reason. It's white for a reason. Your behavior is borderline insulting. I gave you the url for the plugin. Go there, read the page, understand what you're talking about before jumping to conclusions. Make an account there and present your case for updating the plugin the...

    New forum bugs

I don't see what you're talking about: 10 + 11 + 1 == 22 10 likes above, 10 likes below: This is not a forum bug. Nobody but you has complained about forum slowness, so I don't know what to tell you. And, quit creating additional accounts. It's obviously not helping your problem.

    Problems getting masternode started

No, that field is populated from dashninja. That field is blank until your node is successfully started and (about 5-10 minutes later) you appear in his list. Dashman has a bug I need to fix. When never paid, the calculation is confused. After your first payment, seeing '(selection pending)'...

@demo @demo2: if you feel so strongly about it, make your case to the plugin author. https://xenforo.com/community/resources/post-ratings-taking-likes-to-the-next-level.410/ And I've already warned you about posting multiple times about the same thing (even quoting yourself) instead of just...
