Darkcoin value rise (Cool, calm Darkcoin group)

While it's sad to have the days of Dash-for-pennies gone, Dash is still incredibly cheap IMO. Think of it this way: Would you buy BTC at $31 back in 2011? That was the peak of the first BTC bubble, it crashed to $2 six months later. Over the next six months it soared to $266 and while the price...

    Dash Logo Contest

    Slightly italicize #5 and you've got a winner. As a runner-up I'd pick #1.

Official Change From Darkcoin To Dash

Since 11.2.x testing was paused, is that going to be finished and included before (or at) the switch? The inclusion of Masternode blinding and other fixes at, or before, the branding switch would be great.

Official Statement On Rebranding To Dash

I understand trademarking the terms so others can't steal them but are we keeping the Darksend name with Dash? "Darksend" seems more ominous than even Darkcoin. "Darksend" should be practically at the top of the re-branding list.

    v0.11.2.x Testing

I probably missed it somewhere but, out of curiosity, what are some examples of a "downgrade"? How does that lower anonymity?

New Masternode share - 9 partners wanted, 100DRK each, 1 month renewable agreement...

I'm willing to buy you out if thelonecrouton is OK with it. I'm fine with that as it makes the MN wallet more secure.

    v0.11.0 - Darkcoin Core Release

It might just be a string of bad luck but I updated to 0.10 and had three "Payment to yourself" fees in a row. All but 0.1 of my current Darksend Balance was from running it on 0.09. I might transfer my wallet to cold storage and back before re-mixing it. Maybe that will fix the issue?

    v0.11.0 - Darkcoin Core Release

I just love how active this community is. It's exciting to be in it at such a (relatively) early stage. *empties bank account in anticipation of price increase*

    v0.11.0 - Darkcoin Core Release

It's saying that you are looking to send DRK from your wallet, even if it's non-anonymized funds (i.e. funds that have not been sent through Darksend, first.). The warning is because non-anonymized funds are easily tracked. Checking the Darksend box when sending DRK will get rid of the message...

    v0.11.0 - Darkcoin Core Release

This happened to me as well. I restarted darkcoin-qt (without adding any optional commands) but it didn't fix it. This changed the exclamation mark and question mark to checkmarks. Now I'm getting "Masternode: transaction not valid". I also had a two -0.10 "payment to yourself" in a row so...

    Can't change "Create Darksend Transaction"

This same issue occurred for me with v0.10.17.24 on Windows. Unchecking "Darksend" let the transaction go through, but I'd like to see what it takes to get the resolved. Having to send non-anonymized funds defeats the purpose of DRK.

    Darksend looping, no mixing occuring

Update: I let it run overnight last night and it slowly completed (well, 97%) over about five hours. Note: I'm using the newest wallet version (as of this writing), v0.10.16.15-beta. I've been trying for the last three or four days to re-Darksend my coins due to the recently-resolved security...

    v0.10.16 - Onyx v2

Has anyone got Darksend to work? I understand the network needs to be updated but I've tried for the last two nights to use Darksend with no luck. The client (under Linux) keeps looping with: "Darksend is idle" => "Submitted to masternode, waiting in queue" => "Darksend is idle" Occasionally...

    Evan's InstantX Demo on YouTube

Ah, I must have missed that. I found it on BCT here: Gotcha, it sounds like the process goes like this: - InstantX transaction is sent. - Ten Masternodes confirm the payment is legitimate and going only where it says it is (i.e. no double-spending). - Based on this the payment is confirmed...

    Evan's InstantX Demo on YouTube

That was pretty amazing, my only question is what would the "real world" time be? The MNs were local (same LAN) so would a "real world" situation be that fast? Or would it be closer to ~10 seconds? (Which is amazing in itself, anyway.)

I've been contacting a lot of major VPNs (so far I've contacted everyone on this list) and decided to catalog their responses in case anyone else wants to help make the push to get them started with accepting Darkcoin. The responses are in the next few posts and are sorted in reverse...

Ask Private Internet Access to accept Darkcoin

FWIW, I filled out a support ticket for the billing department last night asking if they'd look into accepting Darkcoin. Here is what they replied (within 45 minutes!):
