No, only 1 private key is created. You can view your addresses by going to (Dash-Qt) File > Receiving Addresses... You can manually created a load of addresses when you first open your wallet and a backup would have these addresses, they don't have to have funds to be backed up.

I am glad you sorted it. I was starting to feel a bit sick reading from the start of the thread down. As the core wallet isn't deterministic I thought it was 1000 dash gone forever. A lesson to everyone, if you generate a new address, back it up!

I didn't suggest we refund all proposals, just the useful ones that give clarity (in the case of a failed governance questions) or a proposal that is good but for a valid reason isn't accepted (like one that is good but not viable at the time of submitting).

The people that voted no on 1 Dash seem to think that a high fee means that only high quality proposals will be submitted and also that a high fee for governance issues is fine too. So, my new stance on this is a fee of 400 Dash. Now, if you are risking 400 Dash you must have a good proposal...

Yes, it is possible to run a masternode anonymously. Using TOR/VPN whenever dealing with your masternode and paying for a VPS service with bitcoin (mixed via dash or monero). Someone would have trouble tracking you down then. Also, using spawik or moocowmoo for hosting. They don't ask any questions.
