Ud, Can we start a mix before waiting for an unconfirmed transaction to confirm? I realize, if all the mixes get in the same block, that would be bad. We could limit commingling mixes to 2 or 3 sets with different denominations. That should at least double the mixing speed.

Thanks Ud. I think the primary slow down with mixing is the unconfirmed transactions caused by 0 fee. This will get worse as there are more transactions. Hopefully, we can evolve out of this with Evolution.

Is there anything we can put something in the config to disable connecting to old peers? For the long unconfirmed transactions during mixing, would changing the transaction fee/relay fee help? (These usually don't say conflicted, just unconfirmed. Or is this also related to tx/dstx) Thanks...

    Mining with renewable energy.

For off-grid systems we do use the solar panels to charge batteries. Solar panels are 18V for 12V batteries and 30V for 24V batteries. You can just hook the panels up to the batteries directly, but you do risk overcharging the batteries. So we use charge controllers. The simple version just...

    V12 Release

I have had this happen twice with bitcoin, but the first time with DASH. I think it was related to the mixing I did before hand. There was a darksend denominate the transaction before that said status: conflicted.

    V12 Release

I had several transactions get stuck doing a darksend mixing. I think there is something wrong this version that causes a hangup. After so many mixes there are long delays(30 minutes) with unconfirmed transactions. Seems like the old peers don't like confirming transactions from mixes with...

    Mining with renewable energy.

Utilities look at renewable energy as an added pain to deal with. They also lose revenue as more people add solar/wind. So they are usually negative about renewable energy. Funny that he mispoke and got called out on it. See my link above to answer your question.

Ah, perfect angle...Sounds like you want a tracker. There are ideal angles, but then the real world comes in and says, the house faces here....make it work. If you have a flat roof, a ballasted racking system is typically 10 degrees, to put minimal weight on the roof. Residential, we are...

    Mining with renewable energy.

Solar really matches the AC load of buildings. It is almost a perfect match, so I don't see the problems you see with erratic power. Of course, that is more of a neighborhood level. If you want to run offgrid, batteries are needed and usually a generator too. The Tesla unit is expensive and...

    Mining with renewable energy.

You can get battery backup inverters for your situation. Basically, the solar will offset what you are using. If it has extra it charges the batteries. If you are using more power it pulls from the batteries. Basically, you save that .18 euro power. We don't deal with this much here, but...

    Mining with renewable energy.

My suggestion would be to skip the wind generator. Wind generators will require maintenance and replacing parts, and typically, this is a lot more that what the manufacture claims. Solar is the way to go. Solar water heating in your area, is going to give you a lot of hot water for just 1 or...

    Mining with renewable energy.

Thanks for the ping on this Splawik. I have a 10KW solar grid tied system and about 6TH of miners undervolted to run a 3TH. The solar system feeds into the electric grid and there is no direct connection to the miners. The decision to add solar and miners was made independently. Here is how...

I just want to jump in and say it was fun playing the lottery and helping out Zoran, even if it just ended up as donation.

Thanks. Sorry, I didn't understand what you meant in your post with RPC/cmd-line references. Now it is clear. Your terms are a little advanced, so I will summarize for simplicity and for those still at the 'beginner DASH course'. dash.conf settings use: ./dashd -help Commands executed while...

    V12 Release

UdjinM6, I am asking for some information in the command line help to show how to anonymize funds or be a liquidity provider. It is A OK if these are configuration settings that are added to a dash.conf. It seems unreasonable to look at a qt wallet to get options for a command line wallet...

Feature Request/Bug Fixes On the help screen of the QT wallet(win 64 version) it says keypool=<n> with default 100. This should be keypoolsize=<n> and the default is 1000. This will create a new wallet with the requested keys. This command doesn't do anything on existing wallets without the...

    V12 Release

I have some logs too if you want them. I was thinking this is the problem. It finds an old version after the new version with more peers. Wasn't there a time adjustment on this release, could it be thinking the old version is started after the new version? receive version message: /Dash...

I had the same error, but mine didn't go even after an hour or two. I think they got confused with versions or something. I'll try the delete unnecessary files next time. Thanks TS.
