    Spreadcoin

To be fair, what prevents any pool from stealing your coins? The only issues I have with spreadcoin are the Anonymous dev and the claim that it is decentralised and pool free. I do not believe that just by adding the requirement to sign a share with your private key will decentralise mining...

    Spreadcoin

Some real popcorn unfolding on the Spreadcoin BCT thread and price down 50% today. Dumping like an elephant after a dodgy kebab. https://www.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-SPR Its a FUD storm over there. Wear body armour.

    v0.11.0 - Darkcoin Core Release

Are you getting a few stuck transactions tonight too? I've had a few problems sending DRK from a normal 0.11.12 wallet. This transaction initially said broadcast to 8 nodes and in fact has been received at the other end but not confirmed. Status: 0/unconfirmedDate: 23/01/2015 19:52To...

So someone gave me an Antminer S1...

With apologies for the crudeness, I believe that Startcoin and Wankcoin are both relatively less unprofitable than other sha256d alt coins.

So someone gave me an Antminer S1...

    1) Fire it up and solo mine bitcoins. 1 in 500,000 that you'll hit a block at this difficulty but better odds than some lotteries! 2) Fire it up and point it at Xpool.ca and earn some Darkcoin.

    Forking Megathread

I know. V11 was not ready for release and should not have been released on main net. If you have a stable P2P network and release a new client that causes it to break, is it the old client or the new client that is at fault? I say the latter. Please correct me if I am wrong but when v11 was...

    Forking Megathread

Cheers. Sounds like things are mostly back to normal then. My masternodes have stayed up for longer than they have managed in recent days so far. Hopefully the devs are busy doing a proper post mortem. This has been a mostly panic free fork. The price has been fairly stable. I think its a...

    Forking Megathread

So is this resolved now? Has the fork been unforked? I've been away from a computer for most of the evening and can't see any info on what happened and what we should do. In light of this I think I'm just going to go to bed and not get out until I feel it is safe again to do so.

    Forking Megathread

I do think I lost 100DRK in a transaction a few days ago. I wonder if it'll turn up at destination or back in my wallet... EDIT: No, neither in wallet or at Directbet. Perhaps I was just mistaken.

Green is data received to your QT and red is data transmitted from your QT. You'd expect to see a lot of green when downloading the blockchain for example.

    v0.11.0 - Darkcoin Core Release

I'm going to the London Bitcoin Expo to do some networking this weekend. I might tell that joke if anybody asks me about the status of the network. By the time they finish groaning they should have forgotten their question

    v0.11.0 - Darkcoin Core Release

By the way, when BCT comes back up shall we just agree to say this fork never happened? Ahem. Fork? What fork!

    Forking Megathread

I haven't seen any official advice but it is night time for Evan at the moment. I won't be moving any coins in the meantime personally. As to root cause, there seems to be two camps. One camp says that the fork was caused by everybody not updating to v11 quickly enough. The other camp says...
