    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

Hey everyone, Sorry for being unavailable and slow to respond the past couple days. I came down with some sort of stomach virus and was feeling so bad I could hardly move out of bed. But I'm finally feeling better again and trying to get caught up on everything! I'm really impressed with the...

[CLOSED] Masternode shares with automated payouts.

Yeah, I did consider that! Banks usually pay < 1.0% interest on savings annually... basically, what I was saying is that a masternode investment has a WAY bigger yield than you could ever get in any traditional liquid savings account, CD, bond or money-market fund. :-)

    Platform-agnostic .NET/Mono framework? perhaps even a wallet?

You probably don't see any use cases for C# because, like you said, you hate .NET, heheh. I can think of literally tons of innovative ways to employ a C#/.NET API for Bitcoin and Darkcoin: Lightweight client/wallet for Windows tablets, phones and mobile devices and some non-Windows...

[CLOSED] Masternode shares with automated payouts.

Hmmm... vertoe, I may just have to take you up on this and park some DRK in your masternode farm. While the earnings aren't huge, it's definitely an excellent deal for anyone with a couple hundred DRK just sitting idle in a savings wallet. And those predicted post-enforcement earnings sound...

[CLOSED] Masternode shares with automated payouts.

What is the expected daily % ROI (return on investment), vertoe? If I bought a small chunk of one of your MNs (let's say 100s @ 100.00 DRK), what might I expect to earn per day? week? month? year? Thanks! :-) The DRK Lord

    Platform-agnostic .NET/Mono framework? perhaps even a wallet?

@ vertoe: Haha, it seems like we have the exact opposite preferences/opinions on languages and platforms, vertoe! I'm really picky when it comes to language choice. I enjoy C and C++, and I love my C#. I also enjoy writing stuff for OpenCL and CUDA, writing shaders in HLSL and sometimes a bit...

I speak German quite well, and vertoe is a native German with flawless English skills... so I'm sure the two of us could handle that, no problem. :-)

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

You're not the only person who likes the basic/classic look best. I don't think it would be very hard to include an option to switch between a "classic" and "enhanced" theme. That way you and those who like the "plain Jane" version of the wallet can use the classic look, and everyone else can...

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

This looks really good, raze! +2 thumbs up for your work! :-) I'd like to re-arrange some stuff and change the layout a bit, but I really think you're onto something here. The colors and visuals definitely look fantastic. I would want to see the incoming/outgoing transaction arrow icons changed...

    Platform-agnostic .NET/Mono framework? perhaps even a wallet?

This is just a thought I've been having and wondering about... Thanks to the Mono Framework, I've been able to pull off cross-platform projects using C# and deploy them on Windows, Linux and Mac systems (as long as they had either the .NET Framework or Mono installed). I once wrote a...

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

Yes. I'm not sure how it's done on Linux and Mac but on Windows projects it's actually pretty easy to "globalize" your software. On a few major C#/.NET projects I've done in recent years I would simply create a DLL to serve as a language resource package. When the application launched it would...

Correction: We should focus on the Top 10 languages most commonly spoken by computer and internet users.

@ raze: This will probably be quite pleasing to hear... Minotaur is helping me with the actual artwork/layout side of this project, and I pointed him to your concept mock-up. We like it very, very much. So much, in fact, that we would like to employ your help on this project and invite you into...

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

@ LittleFinger: No offense was taken, haha! I'm a programmer, not an artist, and I know my design work leaves much to be desired. My post was simply to convey a general idea about the design/layout, which is why it was marked with the bold disclaimer "the wallet will not actually look like...

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

It looks a lot less ugly without the "filler content" in the Overview tab page... I think the "frame" of the design/layout itself doesn't look so bad! What do you say? -- The DRK Lord --

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

After listening to everyone's suggestions, I totally re-thought the entire design and came up with a new look... Keep in mind this is just "programmer art"... temporary artwork used as a place-holder until a more skilled artist can do a proper design for a release quality version. But hopefully...

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

Was there ever a formal decision made on the official logos for Darksend and Dark Gravity Well? If so, could anyone point me to the graphics? I think it'd be cool to display them in the load/splash-screen of the wallet.

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

I agree. That's why I'm implementing it as a configurable "add-on" or "plug-in" for the wallet/client that you can opt out of or choose to use if you wish.

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

Ahhh, Little Finger... how nice of you to join us, Ser! ;-) You know that I value your opinion on this matter, especially as "Master of Coin", heheh. But keep in mind this is just a static "mock-up" or "rough draft" of the UI. This isn't going to be the new wallet UI, and isn't fully...

    Enhanced Darkcoin Wallet UI

Yes, vertoe, you could help me work on a layout. I would be most pleased to have your assistance on this. :-) Keep in mind everyone that this is just a simple mock-up/prototype design in my screenshot. It's not actually functional yet and just displays some static information. I made it just to...
