DASH mining in any capacity is officially dead

The original idea for MNOs was to discourage miner influence on the economy of DASH. MNs can still play that role without such a high payout. Miners would be left with two choices: sell their DASH for instant gratification, or hold their DASH and try to become an MNO. Which would be impossible...

DASH mining in any capacity is officially dead

As a matter of fact once I get to a computer, I can generate a correlation between hashrate and price for any cryptocurrency and we would see the obvious correlation. Yes, investors ARE looking at it.

I appreciate the honest response and it's actually exactly what I was expecting. I don't think you would lose your life savings - it would do a U in price when we kick out the whale MNOs that are just cashing out on miners work (MNO do not generate their own DASH, miners do) Essentially there...

How to Get DASH Profitable to Mine again!

Reducing or getting rid of MNO payout would get us to a result much quicker. Liquidity in DASH would increase and so would people buying up the DASH. Right now its only inflated because of 4,000,000 DASH being held up on MN while miners use their own expenses to generate DASH for them. Would...

You really are dense - 4:54. That doesn't sound like a masternode governance system to you? Someone suggests a change to reward system from 45/45/10 to 30/60/10 (MNO/Miners/Budget), is that a miner or an end user making that decision? No. It's not. It would be up to the miners and end users to...

DASH mining in any capacity is officially dead

Gee then I dont understand the point? I'm so dumb can you help me understand how a centralized bank, government or a corporation work then? Is it centralized because one person makes the decision or decentralized because theres a board of directors or a senate/congress? See how stupid you...

Dash AeroSports Sponsorship and Businesses Developement

Just to retrace back his argument, we were speaking about how we shouldn't be burning budget allocated DASH on high acquisition, low ROI marketing campaigns and other random events and simply let the excess be pushed into the dev team's budget so they would "explode" Someone pointed out that...

DASH mining in any capacity is officially dead

Yes when I initially came here, no one really explained that - they were just complaining that I was complaining about profits when really, I was expecting an end to the influxing difficulty that has exponentially made mining unprofitable. I thought it was a flaw in the coding itself. But...

Dash AeroSports Sponsorship and Businesses Developement

Is new; owns a MN. What am I DOING WRONG?! xD Lol Also it makes sense for the repository to be private - besides, they've been updating us with progress recently so thats good.

Dash AeroSports Sponsorship and Businesses Developement

LOL I made a similar comment as Yaksha under his budget proposal. I swear people approve the dumbest things because they sound cool... disappointing to not have my own MN. The cost of acquisition and exposure going this route is just too high - you're better off putting it in internet ads.

Masternode owners, let's stop voting on dumb sh*t. We need FOCUS.

A masternode owner that gets it. I appreciate you. Sincerely, NOT a masternode owner P.S. The fact that aerial show actually passed triggered me so hard...

Slow mixing. What is the reason?

What if 1000 DASH VALUE is locked in initially, but the 1000 DASH could be used for the mixing? I mean, someones 50 DASH going in isnt much different than your 50 DASH going out, so it would always have 1000 but can still send from the MN?

Slow mixing. What is the reason?

You mean it doesn't already use the 1000 locked masternode DASH? If devs figured out a way to keep the value of your masternodes locked while allowing it to move around to create the liquidity required for faster mixing, you would have a pool of over 4 million DASH to mix with.

DASH mining in any capacity is officially dead

It can't be more risky than allowing Bitmain to consolidate most hashrate power for all crypto. I haven't read a proposal yet to create an open source ASIC IC that would propagate network hashrate exponentially on the DASH network. That's actually kind of genius... Remove consolidation of power...

DASH mining in any capacity is officially dead

We will have to see where the network settles in the next few months in terms of difficulty then... and of course price the miners used for it accordingly when thinking about short term profits.

DASH mining in any capacity is officially dead

I also see that with the current hashrate - dont worry, I'm not trying to regain short-term profits. My concern is purely with the rewards in terms of DASH, not dollars. Extrapolating current Antminer S9 technology hashrate, I guess this would make sense as well if applied to DASH (and the...

DASH mining in any capacity is officially dead

So if I'm understand this correctly, a linear relationship between difficulty and hashrate wouldn't make sense to create (like I did) because difficulty is based off of how fast one found a block within the last 24 blocks.. so what we are experiencing now is not necessarily a permanent change in...

DASH mining in any capacity is officially dead

Fair point, but I don't think it should be necessary is my conclusion. Maybe bitcoin's model of changing it every 2016 blocks was the best idea.. that way the fluctuations wouldnt be so wild and create uncertainty on network difficulty. Nonetheless, a few months supply of ASICs shouldn't have...
