    Mish discusses Bitcoin vs Gold

Yes, Mish's blog post was discussing the debate you linked between Peter Schiff and Max Keiser. However, Mish presents his own arguments in the blog post. Mish is generally a thoughtful and respectful individual who argues based on reason which is why I took the time to respond to him. We'll...

    Mish discusses Bitcoin vs Gold

Mish (Mike Shedlock) is an influential blogger for investing topics that I typically agree with. However, he recently blogged about the Peter Schiff - Max Keiser bitcoin-gold debate here. He came down on the side of gold so I sent him an email to try to change his mind :) I'll paste Mish's...

Promoting DASH as an Investment to Hedge Funds

I saw an article yesterday entitled, "Hedge Funds Investing in Cryptocurrencies ‘Exploding’ – 62 in Pipeline," that I thought was interesting. After waiting for this to happen for several years it finally seems that hedge funds are beginning to warm up to crypto. I think we should target hedge...

Cost of a DASH 51% Attack Article

He's corrected his numbers a few times in that article and I think it's still off. Quite sloppy. I guess some information on the internet might not be accurate after all :) The Antminer D3 would reduce the cost of 51% attack today assuming one could obtain a lot of them, but they are on back...

Poor man's hardware wallet -- bitkey port to Dash

I'm with @UdjinM6 on this. More options are better, but don't see the cost of a Ledger as much of an impediment. If you have enough crypto to need the security, $70 doesn't seem like a lot to protect it. Also, to get the maximum security out of bitkey you need to go for the air gap method...

    Los Angeles Dash Cryptocurrency Users

Lol. Refreshing honesty. Substitute persistence for marketing - something will stick eventually :-P

    Los Angeles Dash Cryptocurrency Users

Hi Jim, I've been thinking about starting a DASH meetup in the Milwaukee area. Are you still having trouble getting people to show up? Are you doing any marketing outside of this forum? Can you share some of your experiences/tips? Thanks.

Lets all come with some scalable marketing ideas

I would be especially interested in ideas that focus on marketing abroad. When I look at DASH search stats they are VERY heavily US based. For DASH to be a success it needs adoption in China, India and the rest of the world.

@Mark Mason , @mastermined - I like all the timely original content on DFN. Great job! I've been trying to think of ways to get wider audiences exposure to good DASH stories. I wonder if it could be made more effective at reaching non-DASH owners by first submitting some article ideas to...

    Pre-proposal: DASH PrivateSend De-Anonymization Contest

I thought about this when writing up the proposal. Originally I considered it safer to have the money allocated up front to guarantee a payout in the event de-anonymization occurs. The odds of that happening are very low, however, so maybe that would be OK. Will consider additional feedback...

    Crazy Idea - Coin Merger!

@TroyDASH - I'm going to make a fool of myself by making a prediction. BCC won't die, but it won't be very popular either. In 3 months the Segwit2x 2MB hard fork will take place as planned and this will deflate the BCC crowd who will realize that they won't be taking over the crypto world...

    Pre-proposal: DASH PrivateSend De-Anonymization Contest

Hi @jimbursch . Your suggestion to fund a forensic analysis was already done. See this. The idea I'm proposing isn't a bug bounty - it's a PR coup masquerading as a bug bounty! I'm just tired of "misinformed" people like this guy spewing BS about PrivateSend that just isn't true. Let's shut...

Cost of a DASH 51% Attack Article

Please have a look at this article, "Cost of a 51% Attack and Security of Bitcoin, Monero, Litecoin and other Cryptocurrencies." It shows DASH as having weakest security of the coins compared. Is this accurate? Do the numbers need to be corrected?

    Pre-proposal: DASH PrivateSend De-Anonymization Contest

@pwjjrn - I understand what you mean about the timing. I also think that if you wait for a "good" time to convince the State that they are on the wrong path when it comes to privacy issues that you will be waiting a very long time.

    Pre-proposal: DASH PrivateSend De-Anonymization Contest

@joezippy The new iOS DASH wallet was just approved by Apple last month and it does have an InstantSend option. I don't think any of the light wallets perform PrivateSend. Jaxx does not yet support InstantSend. It's a good idea to try to tie this to other developments in the wallet space, but...

    Crazy Idea - Coin Merger!

Wow! I was not aware this had been proposed before. Maybe the idea isn't so crazy after all. Before I posted I searched for past coin mergers and only came up with one announcement for something called Gorilla Teeth which doesn't seem to exist today. Agree with @TroyDASH about all the stars...

    Pre-proposal: DASH PrivateSend De-Anonymization Contest

OK - this proposal has been "quietly" received so far. Can we get a discussion going on this? Even if you are opposed I'd like to know why - my feelings will not be hurt. :) Is my proposal unclear? Don't see the need? Too complicated? Too expensive? Too risky? Don't think the PR will be...

    Coindesk and Dash

@halso - That's quite revealing! Why don't you send your stats to one of their editors and ask them why they don't cover DASH more?

Question: Where buy with gift cards

If the cards are legit you could sell them for cash at places like Raise.com and then buy your DASH with the proceeds.

    Crazy Idea - Coin Merger!

This one is a bit out there, but has anyone considered a merger/buyout of another coin? Metcalf's law suggests that due to network effects a network's value grows by it's number of users squared. Therefore if two coins with approximately the same number of users merged it's number of users...
