I can point you to the code, if you're interested :) Main reason is that we're more flexible in our implementation, than Dash Core.

The amount paid depends not just on the collateral, but on denominations you create and mix. In Electrum we try to minimize the fee you pay while mixing.

Do you want to turn Dash into Dogecoin? Because wasabi requires a third party coordinator. Thus, it requires more trust than current mixing with masternodes.

This requires introduction of tokens on top of the protocol. There was a proposal for revival of CounterParty protocol on the Dash network, but it wasn't supported by the MNO.
