Will mining Dash become profitable again?

Because I was just like you - head up in the clouds, thinking governance actually meant something for a digitial currency. Turns out, it just creates a system full of greedy owners who think they understand the best plan of action to see a currency to success when, in reality, theyre just...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

You do realize anyone can create a fork off of a blockchain, right? You really think bitcoin god and bitcoin uranium are decided by some small sector of the community to support? LOL! This isnt indicative of successes or failures, but rather of different means to achieve the same end. As a...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

If miners decided the future of DASH, it would be bitcoin right now.

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

A difficulty jump, currently, of 52 million and 86 million is the difference between mining 32 DASH in one year and 13 DASH in one year with 150 GH/s (thats 10 antminer D3s). Get real, the emissions are busted for anyone mining this garbage algorithm. You really think solving that issue is going...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

Correct, which is why I keep repeating that the only worthwhile investment in DASH is a masternode but its not going to be enough to tell people to just buy and hold the tokens while people who hold on to 1000 DASH are getting a payout for running a maintenance system that leaves them with an...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

I supposed they would run on Linux, but it's not open source. Trust me, there's no way to turn an ASIC into a comm medium.

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

Nope - an ASIC is not an MNO in hardware in any way - so theres no way to turn one into another. ASICs run iteration of the hashing algorithm over and over to maximize hashrate output - MNs just need to sit on a server. Also, doesn't matter the software name since the code varies from ASIC...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

Contacting them via IP, I think, is illegal xD also highly improbable since everyone uses NAT - the IP you see may not be the one that directly represents a device within their network (public vs private IP). The software used for mining has a one-way direction anyway.

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

Well yes I'm already doing that. I actually have not posted this much in a while, as I have moved my attention towards trading and mining Bitcoin, but its such a shame when people keep coming on here hoping for a proper analysis of the current mining situation but are greeted by greedy MNOs...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

Have you seen some of the things you guys vote for? LOL, MNOs as a governing body ALWAYS makes bad decisions for the future of the network. Literally a slush fund for people looking to gain hype on the network for the sake of short term profits, NOT for the future of the network whatsoever. But...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

People dumping their ASICs on ebay, so might as well put their investment into SOME use, even if they break even on electricity (which is what they're all currently doing)

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

I've already detailed this, but theres no way I'm buying into an artificially inflated cryptocurrency with no promise of increased traffic or interested and meaningful miners/transactors on the network. I would buy into CannabisCoin before I bought 1 DASH.

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

No, youre not in because of the future of DASH, youre in because of the future of holding an MNO. The future of DASH will, at best, show short term promise with the introduction of DASH evolution and then slowly die as the lightning network catches up to speed an surpasses it. Your short term...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

Now you're getting to the disillusionment of a governance structure has attracted all these supporters but ultimately fucks them over :). Exactly what we're saying lol. And isn't the point of being an MNO is that you see future prospect for the currency, and increased interest into joining it...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

They would when the DASH price increases once more to profitable levels. And yeah, maybe Bitcoin miners has TOO many miners... that could be a counterpoint to attract more people into the network, but it also guarantees the decentralized distribution of the network - the whole purpose of...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

When I created the model, it was based off of a linear formula using every day of DASH difficulty increase/decrease coupled with its hashrate increase (information available on coinmarketcap) to determine my coefficient. No code. But if the developers want a VERY specific solution that involves...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

The undercirculated argument is economics 101 - there is no incentive to spend and circulate the currency at any point - regardless of its divisiveness which, by the way, is why the US has a hard on for being the only currency to trade oil with around the world. There is only incentive to buy...

Will mining Dash become profitable again?

Well anyone can argue its currently profitable now if you are mining in China or Ireland. We have to define profitability then. Long term, it doesn't matter what price it is, it will always be unprofitable for small time miners who arent in cheap electricity areas of the world. I say this...
