Hi DASH Community,

I'm Jorge Sáez, a professional with more than five years of experience in the sector, specialized in the development and execution of operational, organizational and marketing strategies that have allowed me to successfully carry out the creation of communities and strategic alliances in emerging markets.

Some time ago I tried to develop some initiatives in Venezuela in favor of the adoption of DASH but I was not able to carry them out due to various reasons, and among them, that at that time the price of DASH, if I remember correctly, was higher than $500, additionally 5 DASH were required to upload a proposal, which at that time was simply impossible for me to do.

However, some members of the Community supported our initiative and thanks to some small donations we managed to carry out the following first and only DASH meetup in Trujillo.

After that I had to leave the project since I could not upload a DASH Central proposal on my own due to the price of DASH at the time and additionally many controversies began to arise from the main DASH communities in Venezuela, and I did not want to get involved, thus preserving my reputation within the ecosystem, so I was working on other projects.

During my career, I have worked as:
  • Ambassador, LATAM Lead and Operations Lead at Pixel Realm (formerly Nftb): Where I designed and executed operational and marketing strategies to drive the growth of one of the main NFT Marketplaces within the BSC ecosystem, as well as maintain and develop new partnerships with relevant projects and VCs.
  • AirDAO Perú Country Manager: Responsible for establishing the presence of this L1 project in Peru, leading adoption initiatives, strategic alliances, and community building.
Here is my LinkedIn Profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cjorgesaez/

Peru offers a great ecosystem for the growth and adoption of DASH, with an active remittance market, and a growing adoption of digital technologies and cryptocurrencies. There are numerous opportunities not only for cryptocurrency education, but also for the creation of a solid payment infrastructure and the integration of DASH into people's daily lives.

Of course, this requires the implementation of various adoption strategies that include the creation of an active community, strategic alliances with relevant startups, active participation in the main events of the ecosystem as a sponsor, holding DASH events for networking and education, and collaboration with payment companies.

Here are some of my previous works:

Coordination and implementation of AMAs with some of the main Exchanges

Participation in some of the main events on Blockchain, Finance and Web3

This event was held on Tuesday, December 3, so the video summary is in production, once completed, I will share it here.

In this sense, I would like to develop this type of initiatives for DASH here in Peru in an ecosystem that offers an ideal environment for the growth of DASH in the Country and Region.

To do this, I would like to apply for an official position such as DIF, Country Manager or similar, in order to have the official support of the project and to have the power to achieve effective alliances, integrations and associations with startups, payment applications, and other relevant projects, as well as representation and sponsorship at the main Blockchain events in the country, and the organization of DASH's own events and conferences. I look forward to your comments on this matter.

Pre-Proposal: DASH Peru - Pilot event and creation of the comunity
The following is a proposal for 2 months (January and February), to carry out a pilot event that allows DASH to be introduced from the beginning of the year in the Peruvian ecosystem, thus starting the development of DASH operations in the country both virtually and in person, and allowing the creation of a local community on the main social networks such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Twitter.

The first event will be in January, it will be an Educational and Networking event in Cocktail Night format that will allow to publicize the main characteristics of DASH, its most recent updates, as well as the launch of Evolution Chain.

The event will be a meeting point between businessmen, entrepreneurs, crypto communities and main leaders of the ecosystem.

The idea is to publicize the project and show its main advantages.

During the event:
  • Information will be provided about DASH, its features, its latest updates and the launch of Evolution.
  • A free drink will be given to all attendees at the event.
  • Subsequently, and with the main objective of DASH being Digital Money, I plan to carry out on-chain activities, so that attendees can test the application and check the benefits it offers. During the event, I plan to grant an Airdrop of $5 in DASH to 30 people drawn, who will be able to use their Airdrop to buy another drink and have the experience of buying a good/service paying with DASH.
  • A draw of 1 DASH will be held for 2 lucky winners (0.5 DASH each), so they can get to know the token, test its features and make use of it.
  • Networking will take place with businessmen, entrepreneurs, and main leaders of communities and projects in the ecosystem.
  • The entire event will be recorded in audiovisual material (professional photos and videos).
Estimated date:
  • Date: 20-30 January 2025

Event Goals:
  • Introduce DASH to the Peruvian Community:
    • Provide introductory information about DASH as well as its most relevant Milestones.
  • Encourage the Participation of Key Actors and Allied Communities:
    • Connect with key players in the blockchain and financial sector with whom various integrations/initiatives can be organized later.
    • Create synergies with allied communities, projects and other key actors in the sector.
  • Promote Dynamic and Interactive On-chain Activities:
    • Encourage the download of the DASH mobile App so that they can receive an Airdrop and thus carry out on-chain activities during the event.
  • Creacion de la comunidad de DASH Perú:
    • Create a local DASH community on WhatsApp, as well as the main social networks for DASH Peru such as Twitter and Instagram.
Budget
  • 35 DASH / 1 DASH @ $62
    • Project management: This involves not only the organization and execution of the event, but also the creation and administration of the DASH Peru community, as well as the Instagram and Twitter accounts. The idea is to begin a growth project for DASH in Peru, so all accounts will be managed in a constant and professional manner in search of organic growth.
    • Since I cannot attach more files to the publication, I attach the detailed budget along with the merchandising references in the following link:
      https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/13TJKZmlQHKIYDPZdHaPHMxMAGPnBKhIpPLI90vcoCy8/edit?usp=sharing

Deliverables:
  • Detailed event report.
  • Audiovisual summary of the event (professional photos and videos).
  • DASH Perú local community created.
  • DASH Perú Twitter and Instagram accounts created.
  • 40+ Wallets downloaded.
  • 40+ transactions completed.

Timeline
  • Week 1 after payment: Confirm location and date and proceed to reserve the event venue
  • Week 2 after payment: Have the merchandise finished.
  • Week 3 after payment: Adjust any details if necessary.
  • Day of the event.
This proposal is designed for 2 months in order to be able to give continuity to the work carried out and maintain the momentum of the achievements reached.

In the case of the month of February, the same strategy will be applied in a general way, but this time, it would be a more educational event. In Peru, at least 3 ecosystem events are held monthly, so we can connect with some of the main communities and actively participate in one of the events as a Sponsor.

Likewise, the work in the DASH Peru community and its social media accounts will continue in a professional manner.

I look forward to your comments,

Best regards,
Jorge Saez.

This should be folded into Joel's existing Dash Growth proposal. I will bring it to his attention, what you are trying to do has had limited success in the past. An approach I would pursue is focusing on tangibles, like get Dash listed on the local crypto exchange, present/promote Dash at local crypto conferences and meetups. Get Dash integrated where ever Bitcoin is also integrated eg swap out for goods services. Reach out to local content creators/influencers and get Dash into the conversation, etc.

Hi @xkcd , thank you very much for your feedback, yeah, I think that the limited success of many community creation and event proposals is due to the lack of continuity and to external factors of greater weight such as the economic situation of the country and its regulations in the crypto field, it is much more difficult to develop these initiatives in countries with these characteristics.

At least so far here in Peru, the conditions are favorable in both aspects, and from my experience here, various initiatives can be developed in favor of DASH. That is why I would like to have official support to be able to connect DASH with the main startups, exchanges, payment applications, where its integration can be achieved, as well as representation in the main events of the ecosystem both in Latam and in the Country 👍

Peru offers a great ecosystem for the growth and adoption of DASH, with an active remittance market, and a growing adoption of digital technologies and cryptocurrencies.
great initiatives @Jorge Saez .. one question, I'm just curious.. do you know why the adoption is growing ? is Peru going through a rough patch with inflation or something alike ?

Hi @gass-dash thank you for your comment, regarding your question, no, in fact it is quite the opposite, Peru has maintained its inflation rate in single digits for more than 27 years, which positions it as a regional leader in price stability.

In my opinion, I believe that the adoption and development of various crypto initiatives has been organic, and each one of these initiatives promotes and encourages the development of others, thus achieving a chain reaction. Likewise, although there is no consolidated pro-crypto regulatory framework as in El Salvador, there are numerous policies and bills in favor of crypto. In fact, one of the presidential candidates is pro-crypto and the main investor in many projects and startups. In this sense, at least until now, the ecosystem here is quite favorable.

This should be folded into Joel's existing Dash Growth proposal.
Hi @xkcd, I was planning to upload this proposal to the DAO for this cycle, but I wanted to ask you because of your comment about the relationship of this proposal with Joel's DASH Growth, how should I proceed in this regard? Should I contact him or what is your suggestion?

Thanks in advance

Am not against collaboration, there are pros and cons to everything. I just hope you find shared values with whoever you work with. What people say and what they do can be very different, so sometimes it's better to go it alone.

Ah ok Thanks, yeah, I was planning to upload the proposal on my own, I was just asking because of the previous comment, I'm not sure if I should upload my proposal for this cycle since there's only a little over a week left until it ends, so I'll probably upload it at the beginning of the next one, thank you very much for your comment

Hello @Jorge Saez and welcome back to the project.
Firstly i like to say this is great to see more people want to work with Dash and help spread the word. WE do need all the help we can get with marketing and expanding the community!

With that said, i have also been around and seen many such initiatives don't bear any fruit so to say in the end.

I like what i'm reading from your experience "During my career" but i miss key information to be able to say what you can bring to the table.
For exampe what did the projects you were involved in actually got expanded? how long did it take, what activities and projects did you run, what did it cost, what were the KPI's that you set and what was the outcome.

All the activities you mention are great but they won't be groundbreaking in the end of the day. How will this be sustainable and what sort of value will this give say after 2 month? or if continued after 6 month etc.
If this is some sort of lets try and see how it goes i would say then its not worth it but if you truly think you can expand the community with some big numbers and bring real value to the project i will support this.

For now i can't really say based on what i read what long term benefit this will bring. Just my honest opinion.
